Sisters Network® Inc. is a national African American breast cancer survivorship organization committed to increasing local and national attention to the devastating impact breast cancer has in the African America community.
To prompt vigilance on breast health throughout the greater Milwaukee community, Sisters Network® Milwaukee Chapter was established in March, 2008.
For breast cancer survivor and founder, Phyllis Holder, it was a personal calling.
The affilate focuses on providing suppport, education, empowerment and heightened survivorship in the African American Community.
Mission

White, Hawaiian and African-American women have the highest incidence of invasive breast cancer in the United States.
African-American women have the highest death rate from breast cancer and are more likely to be diagnosed with a later stage of breast cancer than White women.
