Due to the impact of clinical depression, there is a troubling tendency for African American women to decide not to start, to miss and to stop treatment needed to live beyond breast cancer. It is true that being diagnosed with a life threatening illness, realizing this experience can change you and following through with treatments can be uncomfortable can overwhelm you.
The emotional and psychological support that helped others is available for you and your significant others. Don't stand isolated feeling alone. Make a move and seek help. You are not alone.
